Panama Day Six

Happy Birthday, Misty! Another very productive work day at Potrero Grande today. By the end of the day the team had completed the 4-foot sump pump whole they had begun yesterday and the 5-foot filtration hole also begun yesterday (which was then immediately filled with a truck load of ROCKS), and the floor was poured (one wheel-barrow of cement at a time). There was a short break in the day when the belt on the cement mixer broke and a run was made to get another. The VBS team did another Spanish VBS (at the church this time) with a lesson, making a bracelet (Jesus Me Ama), and a water balloon toss game which quickly became a water balloon 'fight' by both the children and leaders. Each child also received a Bible, a toothbrush and a tube of tooth paste. Tomorrow, sadly, will be our last day at Potrero Grande. We have some construction goals to accomplish before saying good-bye to the local team we have worked alongside this week. The remainder of the building not completed tomorrow (walls, roof, etc) will still be finished, thanks to the generous support of many through fundraising by this mission team, and the CDC and bathroom WILL be completed in a week or two. Please pray for our final day at this sight, as well as the plans we have for the remaining two days with the district-wide youth.
