All wedding ceremonies held at The Naz must be performed by one of the pastors on staff here at The Naz.*

The Naz Church Marriage Provision*
Because God has ordained marriage and defined it as the covenant relationship between a man and a woman, Brighton Church of the Nazarene will only recognize marriages between one biological man and one biological woman.

Matthew 19:4-6 “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.

Further, the pastors of Brighton Church of the Nazarene shall only participate in weddings and solemnize marriages between one man and one woman, and the facilities and property of Brighton Church of the Nazarene shall only host weddings between one man and one woman.

This Statement on Marriage and Sexuality specifically gives Brighton Church of the Nazarene the right and authority to restrict the use of Church facilities and property to uses consistent with the Bible, with its Statement of Faith and Statement on Marriage and Sexuality, as solely determined by Brighton Church of the Nazarene.
