Day 5

Today we were going to work a half day and go to Old San Juan. Riots have been going on, so we postponed that trip and went to the rain forest and a waterfall where we could swim. Two of the church members and the Pastor took us around. We packed sandwiches to eat on our trip. It was a great day to let our bodies rest. Everyone has been working hard and our muscles are beginning to feel it!

We have been talking about how this trip is bringing us together. Not only with the church in Puerto Rico, but with each other. You might pass by each other on a Sunday morning and say hello, but that is about it. It is so great to get to know the other members on our mission trip team!

After our fun outings, we came back for another amazing dinner. We had salad with this delicious dressing they make, stuffed pork that was AWESOME, and rice. Oh my... these meals... LOVE THEM! They are taking such good care of us. Then we also had flam for dessert, which was also wonderful!!

Tomorrow we are back to work. We are finishing mudding, and sanding. Then we will be moving on to the ceiling. We plan to begin painting on Friday.

Please join us in prayer for the riots here. They aren't too close to where we are staying, we are safe, don't worry. But San Juan needs your prayers. Give them peace and wisdom.

Thank you all for keeping up on our trip and for your prayers!
